Inspired by Mesdag
Welcome to Café 1881. The offer in the renovated café is inspired by the ideas of the Mesdag couple: their love for the sea and nature can be tasted in the dishes and selection of sweets.
The menu is completely vegetarian with a diverse range for all ages: from seaweed burger, club sandwich to afternoon drinks.
As a true The Hague icon, typical Hague products such as Hopjescake, Haagse Kakker and Ooievaartjes should are not missing from the menu.
Please note: The museum café only handles pin-only.
The cafe has a high chair for children available and is fully wheelchair accessible: tables can be adjusted in height, the counter is low and there is a wireless pin machine.
